BTC ETH Tracker ("the app") shows Bitcoin and Ether prices, charts and statistics on Android phones. This policy explains how it handles your information. The short version: the developer collects nothing. The app asks public price services for market data, and keeps your portfolio entries and settings only on your own phone.
What the developer collects
Nothing. The developer does not collect, receive, store, sell or share any personal information or usage data.
- There are no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising software and no social features.
- The app does not use the microphone, camera, location, contacts, photos or files, and it does not ask for your name, email address or date of birth.
- The only Android permission it asks for is internet access, to fetch public market data.
Public data services the app contacts
To show prices and statistics the app requests public data from these services: Coinbase and Kraken (prices and daily candles), alternative.me (Fear and Greed index), CoinGecko (market dominance), mempool.space (Bitcoin network data), Binance public futures data (funding and long/short ratio, where available in your country), Wikimedia (Wikipedia page-view counts), and a small data file hosted by the developer on Cloudflare (a short outlook note).
- The requests are for public market data only. They contain no account, no portfolio entry and no personal detail from the app.
- Like any internet request, they reveal your device's IP address and the app's name and version to the service you reach. Each service has its own privacy policy and may keep standard server logs. The developer does not see those logs for the third-party services.
- The developer's own data file is served by Cloudflare, which may keep standard server logs. The developer uses no tool to read who fetched it.
What the app keeps on your phone
Stored in the app's private storage and never sent anywhere: the price history it has downloaded, your settings (currency, theme, refresh interval), and the portfolio entries you type in (amounts, dates, prices, fees and notes). Other apps cannot read them. The developer cannot see them. You can export your portfolio as JSON or CSV through Android's share sheet. That is your choice; the file goes only where you send it.
Google Play and your device
If you installed the app from Google Play, Google Play and Android collect their own information about installs, updates and device health, under Google's own privacy policy. The developer does not receive your personal details from that. If you leave feedback through Google Play or by email, the developer sees what you choose to write and the address you write from, and uses it only to reply and to improve the app.
Not financial advice
The app gives information and statistics only. It is not financial, investment or tax advice.
Children
The app is made for adults and is not directed at children. It collects no personal information from anyone.
Keeping and deleting your data
The developer holds no data about you, so there is nothing for the developer to delete. In the app, Settings can delete your portfolio or all app data. You can also clear the app's storage in Android settings, or uninstall it, which removes everything the app stored.
